If you chase 5 or 6 of the buggers into the farmers pen (pre-searing) he'll give you some gold. It's a quest that isn't advertised with the exclamation mark. I find myself doing it everytime now just for the sake of chasing the pigs.

Man, that's odd.

I never bother with it... it takes longer to chase the stupid pigs then it does to make the money for the reward.

As an aspiring fencer, there's something about women and swords that just works for me, you know? <Insert Drool emoticon here>

Anyone... the farmer will be standing there complaining about his hogs being loose, just chase them into the pen (about 5 or 6 I think) and he'll be all happy and slip you some cash for your troubles.

Chicks dig men that can handle their hogs.

When you talk to the farmer, he says maybe you should "get a friend" to help out. So find someone to help, then tag-team the little buggers.

[Spoiler? nah!]

Pig-herding comes in handy for a quest farther on down the line.... better get the practice while you can!

there is a quest later that you have to chase a pig back to a farmer through hostile areas. It was extremly difficult and I only did it because 2 skills were the reward...

he recomends you get a friend, but I did it alone without too much of a problem. The friend is more to keep the pigs in the pen since they like to leave it when you go to get another hog.

Just remember, when trying to chase the hogs, to stay behind them. Keep the hog between you and where you want them to end out. Straife keys work great if they decide to run to the side.
